In my more than 25 years at Penn, I have seen tremendous changes in the way we fight cancer. The research advances and eight new FDA-approved drugs in the last five years for melanoma have been more than my entire career. We know more about cancer than ever before – its sources of energy and growth, so we can knock them down. Its weaknesses and vulnerabilities, so we can exploit them. Its unique traits so we can predict and prevent the next move.
We’ve made so much progress, but there is still so much to do.
We still need to develop more effective ways to prevent, diagnose and treat melanoma. The Melanoma Program at the Abramson Cancer Center represents a team of doctors, nurses, scientists, and dedicated staff working together to treat patients with melanoma and pursuing innovative research to help patients live better and longer lives.
This is our mission: to discover breakthroughs in melanoma research. Join and support Mission Melanoma 4 as we try to DOUBLE the number of riders and funds raised for the 2018 Breakthrough Bike Challenge.
Thank you in advance for your support and partnership!
